Ejiro now has one job: selling. Meet Bizthom Assistant.

Ejiro now only sells, on your store and in your WhatsApp chats. The help it gave you in your dashboard now has its own name: Bizthom Assistant.

Bizthom Team The team building Bizthom, the commerce platform for Nigerian sellers.

When we opened Bizthom's public beta in March, Ejiro had two jobs. On your store and in your WhatsApp chats, it talked to your customers: answering questions, negotiating and following up. In your dashboard, it talked to you: reading your numbers, writing product descriptions and helping you manage your store.

Two jobs, one name. That turned out to be confusing.

Merchants kept asking us which Ejiro they were dealing with. A setting meant for how Ejiro spoke to customers could easily be mistaken for one about how it helped the merchant, and the other way round.

Then, as Ejiro got better at selling, something else happened. Merchants started asking if they could use it purely to close sales in their WhatsApp chats, without the rest. They had begun to think of Ejiro the way you'd think of your best salesperson. Fair enough, because that's what it had become.

So we've split them.

Ejiro: your trained salesperson

From today, Ejiro does one thing: sell. It works on your store and in your WhatsApp chats. It answers customers' questions, negotiates within the minimum price you set, hands the conversation to you when it needs a human, and follows up with anyone who leaves without paying.

Everything we build for Ejiro from here on serves one outcome: more customers pressing pay.

Bizthom Assistant: the one who keeps the business running

The help you got from Ejiro in your dashboard now has its own name: Bizthom Assistant. It reads your store's numbers, keeps an eye on your stock, writes product descriptions and ad scripts, and tells you what needs your attention. You can ask it about your business in plain language, the way you'd ask a manager who never takes a day off.

It's the same help you were already using, under a name that makes clear who it works for.

Why we're doing this

Most small businesses in Nigeria can't afford a full team. The owner is the salesperson, the stock keeper, the accountant and customer service, often all before lunch. We want Bizthom to change that by giving every business AI staff who each do one job well.

Ejiro is the first hire: the salesperson who never sleeps. Bizthom Assistant is the second: the one who keeps operations in order so you can focus on growing. Keeping their jobs separate lets us make each one far better at its own work, instead of making one assistant average at everything.

If you have questions about the change, reach us through live chat on Bizthom or at support@bizthom.com.
