Enabling tax
Go to Settings → Tax and set your tax rate. The standard VAT in Nigeria is 7.5%. Set this once and it applies to all taxable products.
Marking products as taxable
When creating or editing a product, toggle the Taxable switch. Only products marked as taxable will have tax calculated at checkout. This lets you exempt certain products if needed.
How tax appears at checkout
Tax is calculated and shown as a separate line item at checkout. Customers see the product price, shipping fee, tax, and total — all transparent, no surprises.
Tax reporting
Your transaction history includes tax collected per order, making it straightforward to calculate your tax remittance for any period.
