If your product comes in different sizes, colours, or materials, use variants so customers can choose the option they want.
Enabling variants
On the product edit page, toggle Enable Variants. Then add your options — for example, Size with values S, M, L, XL, or Colour with values Black, White, Red.
What each variant gets
Every variant combination can have its own:
- SKU — a unique stock keeping unit code
- Price — different sizes or materials can have different prices
- Cost price — for accurate profit tracking per variant
- Image — so customers see the right photo when they select an option
Inventory per variant
Stock is tracked at the variant level. Each variant has its own stock quantity, so you know exactly how many size M black shirts are left, for example.
How customers see it
On your storefront, customers pick their options (e.g., Size: L, Colour: Black) before adding to bag. The price and image update to match the selected variant.
Important: Once you enable variants, the main product price is no longer used. Each variant must have its own price set.
