When a customer pays online, a small processing fee is deducted before the money reaches your bank account. Here's how it works.
Paystack processing fees
Paystack charges a standard fee on each successful transaction:
- 1.5% of the transaction amount
- Plus a flat fee of ₦100 on transactions above ₦2,500
- Fees are capped at ₦2,000 per transaction
So on a ₦10,000 order, you'd pay ₦250 (₦150 percentage + ₦100 flat fee), and you'd receive ₦9,750.
No Bizthom transaction fee
Bizthom does not charge any additional transaction fee on top of Paystack's. The only deduction is Paystack's processing fee.
Pay on Delivery
Pay on Delivery orders have no processing fee since no online payment is involved. You collect the full amount from the customer.
Factor fees into your pricing
Some vendors add a small amount to their prices to cover transaction fees. Others absorb it as a cost of doing business. Either way, know your numbers so there are no surprises.
