When you first open your Bizthom dashboard, the Home page shows an onboarding checklist with 8 tasks. Here's what each one means and why it matters.
1. Add your first product
Your store needs at least one active product for customers to buy. Go to Products → Add Product. Enter the name, price in Naira, upload images, and toggle it to active.
2. Set up payments
Without payment setup, customers can't pay online. Go to Settings → Payment, enter your bank code and 10-digit account number. Bizthom verifies your account name automatically via Paystack. Once verified, customer payments settle directly to your bank.
3. Customize your website
Your storefront is the first thing customers see. Open the store designer from Online Store to set your brand colours, fonts, and layout. This makes your store look professional and trustworthy.
4. Connect WhatsApp
WhatsApp is how most Nigerian businesses communicate. Connecting it lets you receive order notifications, send receipts, and run broadcast campaigns to your contacts.
5. Set up delivery
Customers need to know shipping costs before they buy. Configure shipping zones (e.g., Lagos, Abuja, Other States) and set rates for each zone in Settings → Shipping.
6. Connect Meta Pixel
If you run Facebook or Instagram ads, the Meta Pixel tracks which ad clicks lead to purchases. Add your Pixel ID in Marketing → Ad Scripts.
7. Send your first broadcast
Broadcasts let you message your contacts in bulk via WhatsApp, SMS, or email. Your first broadcast is a great way to announce your store launch.
8. Set up automations
Automations send messages automatically when things happen — order confirmed, item shipped, bag abandoned. Setting these up means customers stay informed without you lifting a finger.
