In Nigerian commerce, negotiation is normal. Customers expect it. Ejiro handles this for you so you're not stuck in back-and-forth DMs all day.
How negotiation works
When a customer asks for a lower price on your storefront, Ejiro doesn't just say no. It negotiates within boundaries you set — like a skilled salesperson who knows the minimum but always tries to get closer to the full price.
Setting your boundaries
Go to the Ejiro settings page and configure:
- Soft floor (default 85%) — the lowest price Ejiro will suggest first. If a product is ₦10,000, Ejiro won't offer below ₦8,500 on the first round.
- Hard floor (default 70%) — the absolute minimum. Ejiro will never go below ₦7,000 on that product, no matter how much the customer pushes.
- Max rounds (default 3) — after this many back-and-forths, Ejiro gives a final take-it-or-leave-it offer.
What the customer experiences
A typical negotiation might look like:
- Customer: "Can you do ₦6,000 for this?"
- Ejiro: "I can offer ₦8,500 — that's already a great deal on this item."
- Customer: "₦7,000?"
- Ejiro: "Best I can do is ₦7,500. Shall I add it to your bag?"
Closing the deal
When the customer agrees, Ejiro creates a checkout link with the negotiated price applied as a discount. The customer pays the agreed amount — your money, your rules.
