The bag reservation timer adds a countdown clock to your customer's bag, creating gentle urgency to complete their purchase before "their items are released back to inventory."
How it works
When a customer adds an item to their bag, a timer starts counting down (default: 10 minutes). The customer sees a message like "Your bag is reserved for 9:42" — encouraging them to check out before time runs out.
Configuring the timer
Go to Boosters and enable the bag reservation timer. You can customize:
- Timer duration — how long the reservation lasts (5 to 30 minutes)
- Display message — the text shown alongside the countdown
What happens when time expires
The items stay in the bag — nobody actually loses their products. The timer is a psychological nudge, not a hard restriction. But the sense of urgency it creates is real: customers who see a countdown are more likely to complete checkout during that session.
Tip: This works best during your Saturday rush or when running flash sales — the timer adds just enough pressure to convert browsers into buyers.
